I James Holland Senr. of Wake County and State of North Carolina being in a low state of health but Of perfect mind and memory Thanks be to god and knowing the Mortality of my body and that it is appointed Unto man once to Die I do Constitute and ordain this my last will and testament… …to be buried in a Christian manner at the discretion of my Executors hereafter mentined and so for what worthy Estate it Has pleased god to bless me with I dispose of in manner and Forme following

He appointed Benjamin and Richard to be the executors of his will. In the Wake County March Session 1798 the will was proven. It was recorded in the Clerks Office in the County of Wake, in Book E and page 133 the 2nd day of May 1798.
